Growing, growing, gone.

Will i ever grow up? Now that's a good question. i don't know about you but i think i act seriously childish and immature all the time, okay maybe just sometimes...alright, always. But honestly, i don't want to grow up. Thanks but no thanks. Occasionally, i do want to grow up but, nah. Its amazing that some so-called young people tries very desperately to make themselves grow up but when they are old they'll do the opposite that is to get younger. So enjoy your youth while you can? i always thought that youth meant teenagers or at least young adults. i became pretty confused when i found out the MCA Youth (i am not a supporter of MCA, or of any party for that matter as i am not old enough to vote anyway and if i am i'll not reveal which party i support for the plain fact that i do not want to get arrested under some multimedia act or something) consist of members that are 40+. So, little me's brain gets a little haywire. Interesting. Due to my laziness, i did not further pursue the actual meaning of this silly little word, youth. Great, i went slightly off tangent. Anyway, there's this Korean lady who thought that i was 14. :P

Wow...i actually won the American Idol Fever Continues contest (or something like that). Amazing...i don't think i have won anything in my life before (spare last year's lucky draw -which was also the first time i ever won a lucky draw-). One thing that might contribute to this was probably the fact that no slogans were require. Basically, slogans are not my forte... Anyway, i think i won a shirt...i think. Haven't go and redeem my prize yet. :)

Dynamite Club is back!

It ain't like school anymore. I've got no Jia Ying, Joanne, David, Kavisha or even Guilhem's hand/arm/leg(heehee..remember, Nicole?) to draw on anymore. So, i have to find over alternatives. Its either me, myself or if i'm lucky, i can't grab someone's hand and draw on it. Well, here goes...

i managed to persuade Jia Wu to draw on his hand (its the upper skeleton hand). And somehow Justin also drew on his hand.

On the other side, i drew a plaster (just reminds me of Pocoyo - Pet Society and my avatar in Restaurant City. haha..).

Adam Lambert, the guy who (almost) won American Idol

And so, Adam Lambert did not win. It seems that Americans fell for the guy next door and not the rocker. Anyway, they did have a rocker last year... It is after all, gay or not, an undeniable fact that Adam Lambert is just too talented. No, we haven't seen him playing guitars or pianos on the stage but he amazes us (well, at least me..) with his songs: the Adam Lambert versions. For those of you who are a Kris Allen fan, just admit it that Adam still looks hot with eye liner and black nail polish. His eyes just pierces through you. He commands the whole stage as if everyone belongs to him, and this includes those who watch from TV. Kris, on the other hand, serenades the viewers with his own interpretation of songs. I think Matt is a better pianist than Kris but Kris sure knows how to capture people even behind the piano (yes, Kris' fans, think of Ain't No Sunshine - or something like that). He might not be able to carry a rock song (and convince people that hey, Kris is singing a rock song) but he tries his best. At least he does what he knows that he can do (think the oh-so-unforgettable Danny's scream.....). After Danny got kicked out, I guess that most of his fans voted for Kris instead. Probably a pinch of them backed Adam. The rest? I think they don't want to waste their money voting. Or even watching the finale. For me, it is a little disappointing that Adam did not win. Anyway, i'm know that he's going to be famous. Plus, not all American Idol winners became 'something'. Think Taylor Hicks and Ruebens something...(Clay Aiken's season, if you still remember who Clay Aiken is). Nevertheless, i doubt that Kris will end up like that. He'll join the ranks of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. With David Cook? Mmm..not sure on that yet. Maybe one day. Now, i'm trying to imagine him singing alongside David Archuleta. That'll be nice. Haha..

Yogurt

Yummy...i'm shifting to yogurt to cure my little depression (buh bye chocolates!). i know this relationship will not last because i will be crawling back for more chocolates by, lets say, tomorrow. i'm now with yogurt not because i'm trying to be 'healthier' (maybe lah) but because its because it's not the plain-white-weird-tasting one. This one is 'Tropical & Mixed Fruits' yogurt! Yay!
I must say, i had a healthy day today :) Sook Ting managed to persuade us (and also thanks to the fact that we came out late and almost all restaurants were fully packed) to go and eat at a vegetarian shop. I have never ate in a vegetarian restaurant but i have ate vegetarian food before and it just didn't taste right. Anyway, this will be my first and last time eating at a vegetarian restaurant...i tried to evade from eating vegetarian food so i ordered nasi lemak (this reminds me of AdventuRace) and the sambal did not taste like sambal at all. It was just plain wrong. Vegetarian food looking like something not like vege. i'm having this thing against vegetarian food.

Speechless

Went to FGA with Joanne and David to watch Paroimia (i think i got it right, it is actually parable in Greek) on saturday. It was a really good show. Terrific. Great actress and actors. I actually loved all the dancing. Especially the Grey Dondroms (...i don't know how to speel it but it sounds like it) one. Don't really know why. But one thing's for sure is that they sure did put in a LOT of effort. Then, being David as usual, we went out after that and makan. Somehow, we landed up in Peppercorn. I don't know why but both of them didn't think the food was "great". Ok wud...maybe its because i went there loads of time before or maybe my tongue ain't really good at food tasting. And, walla...my parents walked in the door. -_-"

Anyway, today's my worst day EVER. Got back Econs paper and i think i failed. Sob, sob, sob. To top it up, there was Specialist Maths test right after that. (NOOOOOOOOO!!!!). I thought i was doing ok but i realised i did a special "something" wrongly. Buh bye 6 marks. PS: This accounts 15% for my internal assessment. Duh-die

AdventuRace 2009 & Tests

I recently tortured my friends and myself.

Nasi Lemak didn't win but we definately did not get last as well.

It was plainly torturing, tiring and full of erm, adventure. Overall, it was a good experience.

Anyway, econs test didn't really helped with my body ache, leg and arm pain. Directed investigation was...directed...Maths test was okay...and directed. No lah. Maybe just a little.

Anyway, i followed Nicole's advice and decided to try calling for the cue to call thing. As expected, i failed miserably. Someone named Carol won. -_- She screamed like there ain't no tomorrow. Monday

Yes, today's a Monday alright. In fact, today's the day the March intake people comes in. Thanks to these people, our timetables are changed. Thanks to this people, i can't go back early on Fridays. And thanks to these people, there are now more people in the campus so the probability of obtaining a 'free' and 'unseated' bench in the morning is getting smaller. Thanks to these people, my class is petitioning to make sure that on Friday our class ends early. Well anyway, i saw Yi Lin today. "Hi."

Buttered Garlic on Ritz

Ingredients

Ritz

Tru-Blue Garlic Butter Spread

Step 1 : Open your packet of Ritz and take out a cracker.

Step 2 : Open you Tru-Blue Garlic Butter Spread. Take a butter knife and scrap some of the garlic butter spread.

Step 3 : Spread your garlic butter spread onto your Ritz cracker. Then, just eat it!

As a result of eating several of these, you'll get bad breath. Cure? Brush your teeth (and your tongue) and, if you want, gurgle in Listerine :)

Drivu

I just had my very first driving lesson!! At first, it was pretty scary but soon, it became kinda fun. However, my engine died 3 times. (yay..) Anyway, i hope that i won't forget anything the next time i take my next lesson.

We found pink president alright (and the words should have be in pink), the problem was firetruck. Did they literally meant that or is it just another flower?

The mission camp was fun! :) It was a great experience for me too...Ok, enough of camp, it's time for another yummy food (PS: the drink for the fear factor task was delicious)!

Sardined Tart

(i this is the nearest colour i could get for sardine)

Ingredients
an egg tart
some sardine
pringles (original)

1. Get an egg tart.

2. Dig out the egg part. You don't have to perfectly dig each and every part of the egg out.

Gross? Yes. Still edible? Oh yea.

3. Get some sardine. (Take it out from a can and mix with ketchup or something) And place them into the eggless tart.

4. Lastly, top it off with some crumbs of Pringles!

De Day

Phew! Yep, took my results yesterday. It was ok. Maybe it's because i didnt expect anything from my results. In fact, i had to stop myself thinking about it for the whole month. God will give his best. And yes he did :) After we took our results, some of us hung out and ate and talked and talked talked talked...At last, we were all so tired talking and listening to each other talk, we decided to stop talking and head home. At least, everyone did but me. i went to yl house for awhile. And look what i found there..

Yep, its a snail. i gave it to her for one of her birthdays. It kinda gave me a nostolgic remembrance. Yes, especially the green-paint-flowing-down part. The first drip was purely accidental. The second, third and all other were made on purpose. heehee. So, um, i have to admit that i should have put more glue because the shell was a little soft...

Aww man...i got my hair cut and its like totally lala. Well, at least i've got a week of holiday. This means a week to de-lalafied my er, hair. If it doesn't work, i'm seeing a paperbag-on-my-head-over-my-lala hair.

Anyway, enough about how lala is my lala hair. Check out some yum yums!

These were at Al Nafourah in Le Meridien.

Its a crab meat thingy which looks like tuna but tastes like crab meat and the bread is erm, pita bread, if i'm not mistaken. This is just appetizer and man it's good. Give me another plate of this and it'll be lunch for me!

Main course. The brown thing is actually swordfish. i know! Gosh, i ate a piece of a swordfish... And its on some mashed potatoes, some brinjals and cucumbers. It's pretty filling. That or maybe it's because i ate alkaline rice (guess what's that!) for breakfast.

wow. I've got a blog. At last.. hmmm, i don't really know how some things works around here but i'll try to navigate my way.

ell, the name says it all so i'm gonna start my first (drum rolls...) EXPERIMENT!!

erm, since this is like kind of first time..i'm gonna do a harmless one. well, at least i survived.

Recipe 1 ~ The Fished Nut Bread

Step 1 : Get a slice of bread. Cut it to half. Well, in my case, due to my laziness,

i just kinda tore it into half. Anyway, i was pretty hungry at the same time.

Step 2 : Put some, ahem, steamed fish on it.

BONUS Don't know how to steam a fish? Easy. Take a fish, put it on a plate. If you want, you can add some extra stuff like pepper or salt but just keep it plain. Then, put some water in a pot or a wok. Put a metal-supporter thingy into the pot or wok. Make sure that the water level is lower than the metal thingy. Put your plate onto the metal thingy. Cover your pot or wok. Then, wait for it, wait for it...(10 min +-) And you've got yourself a steamed fish! Btw, i didn't steam it. hehe..

Step 3 : Randomly put some garlic on it.

Step 4 : Place some roasted pork (siew yok) on it too. This is to add so saltiness to it.

Step 5 : Yes! The nut part is it! So, put some cashew nuts on the bread.

Step 6 : Finally....it's done! Terribly simple.

Step 7 : Step 7?? I thought that's it...Wait! But of course, you still gotto eat it!
